Water-assisted Liposuction (Wal)
Water-assisted liposuction (WAL) is a new technique in body shaping operations that we apply in our clinic. It is also referred as Body-Jet Evo.
One of the main advantages of this method that separates it from other liposuction methods is it’s precision. The desired body shape can be sculpted precisely due to giving less tumescent fluid to patient during the surgery.
Water assisted liposuction uses saline (salt & water mixture) to extract the fat and remove the fat cells. This method does not destroy the fat cells. It is the preferred method of liposuction for patients with lipedema. It is a safe technique to remove the fat deposits and has a short recovery time because it does not damage the connective tissue.
How is it applied?
In the water-assisted liposuction technique (WAL) instead of employing a cannula or suction the tumescent fluid is sprayed in high-pressure pulverized manner to detach the fat cells from the connective tissues. Then, simultaneous vacuum is applied and drawn.
